Merry Christmas

It's my turn to host a challenge over in the Hanna Stamps Forum for the week long anniversary celebration. Today's challenge is embossing (dry embossing or heat embossing). I decided to use the Vintage Toys stamp set again. I stamped the teddy bear on white cardstock and colored him with copic markers. Then, I inked the edges while he was still in the nestability die. Next, I cut the layers. I decided to do some dry embossing with a cuttlebug embossing folder and a piece of wild wasabi patterned paper. After I removed it from the embossing folder, I sanded the patterned paper to highlight the edges of the embossing a little more. Then, I stitched it onto my kraft card base. I tied some red ribbon around my card and added my image using foam adhesive. Last, I stamped the sentiment in black ink.

Here's a close up of the sanded dry embossing. Remember to stop in over at the Hanna Stamps Forum and join us in the challenges for a chance to win a new Hanna or Riley of your choice and be sure to check out all the sneak peeks from the design team.

Very nice, classic card. And thanks for the instructions on the dry embossing. I just picked up a CB and will have to play around too.
