Color Me Card Kit

I made this kit to sell at the craft fair (nope, it didn't sell). It includes 6 stamped Hanna images, 2 sheets of stamped Hanna stuff (miscellaneous things like handbags and boxes), 1 sheet of sentiments, 5 cards and envelopes, and 6 markers. I put it all in one of the clear boxes that the Papertrey stamp sets come in. I figured if it didn't sell, I could give it as a gift or use the images myself. Maybe people just didn't know what was in the kit or it was just one of those craft fairs. Honestly, do you think something like this is a good idea or not?

I'm really sad to hear that all your work was without much profit - you have such BEAUTIFUL projects!! Maybe you could find another craft fair to sell your stuff at - this is so much work!!! I love your site - you have great ideas - I used your post-it-note ideas to make some gifts as well - and thanks for stopping by my site!

I think it's a great idea! You know, I've been reading on a lot of blogs that no one did well this past weekend at craft fairs. Don't feel bad...I think it was just the weather and the bad economy :(

What a wonderful idea for children!!! Unfortunately, I believe the art work we do is never really compensated monetarily. I used to make Barbie and Ken Doll clothes...but I put much more work into it that I got paid for it. It's the same with my cards...so I don't sell them, I make tham for friends and family. I think your work is fabulous and I enjoy coming to your site and looking at all of the new stuff you have done...Great job kiddo :)

Very clever idea.
Craft fairs just usually stink anymore-nobody wants to pay anything for anything. I just don't get it!!!

I hear ya on the people not getting the kit! I had the same problem recently at a craft show. I think they are a GREAT idea! Some little girl would LOVE to get that for a gift. Or at least I would have when I was younger! (or now!) And I agree with Meg...I think people don't appreciate the work that goes into our products!
Great work!! :D Amanda

What a bummer these didn't sell! I know I would have picked it up! I think it's a great idea and you have given me that idea for my DD's friends who LOVE to stamp! It is a great way to also RAK a stampin' friend...or sister ;)! I also agree with Velta...lots of people are either in a $$ crash or this just doesn't interest them right now being close to Christmas shopping. Don't give up though, maybe you can do this again AFTER the holidays.

I think it's a very cute idea. How much were you selling it for? I've never tried to sell cards, but I imagine it would be hard these days. Anyway, great idea and good luck!! Maybe your craftshow just didn't have a good crowd.

I think that's a GREAT idea! Especially for a young-ish girl (pre-teen or so) I think I'll have to try that when my son has a birthday party or something to go to. Thanks for a great idea!
