Baby Coaster Album

Did you make it to the Papertrey release party last night? It was so much fun. I love getting to chat with everyone and the excitement over the release. And to top it off, I won the "I want it all" random giveaway on Nichole's blog! I am on cloud nine! So exciting!

Another of the projects I made for the Papertrey Guest Star Stamper contest was this baby coaster album. I love making coaster albums so I had to make a baby one. There are some things that I did with each page so I'll go through that first and then I can just talk about each page.

For each page, I started out by adhering my patterned paper to the coasters and trimming the edges. I used a sanding block to smooth the corners and edges. I punched the holes for the binding using the bind-it-all. I cut some squares for photo mats, rounded the corners and stitched around the edges.

After I assembled the album, I added ribbons to the coils. Now, for the details on each page.

On the cover, I inked some white chipboard stars with lavender moon ink, added stickles to them and set them aside to dry. I created the moon using 2 different size circle punches and inked the edges with lemon tart ink. I stamped the sentiment and then when everything was dry, I assembled the front cover.
I added ribbon to the left photo mat before sewing around the edges. On the right hand mat, I added the sentiment and then stamped the baby carriage on a separate piece of paper. I cut it out and embossed it with a nestability die. Then, I colored it with copic markers. I added the scalloped mat and dimensional glaze to the circles on the image. I assembled everything and added buttons to the corners

On the left hand mat, I added twill, a sentiment, and the bunny before adhering it to the album. On the right hand page, I added the mat. Then, I stamped the bunny on spring moss cardstock and again on white cardstock. I cut out the tail and added it to my green bunny. Then, I added fun flock to his body and liquid pearl to his nose, cut him out and adhered him to the mat. Last, I added some buttons to the corner.

Starting with the left hand mat, I adhered it to the album and then stamped the sentiment. Then, I stamped the onesie on a separate piece of cardstock. I colored it with copic markers, cut it out, and added it to my mat. Now, on the right hand mat, I added the lavender moon ribbon before adhering my mat to my album. Then, I stamped the duck on a piece of white cardstock. I colored it with copic markers and added fun flock before cutting it out and adding it to my mat . Last, I added some buttons in the corner.

For the back cover, I added lavender moon ribbon to the mat and stamped the sentiment before adhering it to the back cover. I punched some holes in a chipboard heart and added some yarn before adhering it to the mat. I love this sentiment from Out on a Limb and it is perfect for a baby album.

I think this is definitely my favorite of the creations I made for the contest. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Hi Niki,

This is a fabulous project. I have to tell you that I await the 15th not just for the PTI releases, but for your posts as well !! I'm always guaranteed to see something "special" in your blog. I read it everyday in Google and I'm not very faithful at commenting ... BUT just because that's true doesn't mean I don't say "Wow" everytime you post. I was so happy that if I couldn't win the PTI bundle you did ... you deserve it !!! Thanks for sharing once more !! Karen
