Hello Riley

How was your weekend? Ours was pretty much the same old same old. My husband is working out of town and couldn't come home this weekend so it was just the kids and I. We did go visit my Mom Sunday afternoon, but other than that we didn't do much. I've been working on Papertrey Guest Star Stamper projects. So, I have a card to share with you that I made last month. I love this little Garden Riley!
For some reason, I don't use orange a lot on cards, but I love how this card turned out. I made my card base from orange DCWV cardstock and then embossed the top of it using the cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder. Since the cardstock has a white center, I lightly sanded the dots to give them more dimension and stand out a little more. The, I stamped Riley and colored him with copics. I matted my image and sewed around the edge. I had chosen a patterned paper from My Mind's Eye with some orange flowers on it. I matted my patterned paper with white cardstock and sewed around the edges. I added the patterned paper and image panel to my card base. I used some orange ribbon from my stash as an accent. I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and punch it out. I added my sentiment, flower, and button as the finishing touches.

Recipe
Stamps: Garden Riley, Things Hanna Would Say (Hanna Stamps)
Cardstock: white Stamper's Select (Papertrey Ink), orange (DCWV)
Patterned Paper: My Mind's Eye
Accents: ribbon, flower (Prima), button
Tools: copic markers, sewing machine, window punch (SU!)

Love the bright orange! I will have to pull out some and use it. Was the flower already textured or did you cuttlebug it?
